How to apply Education Withdrawal from EPF Account 2?

Directly went to EPF office at Jalan Gasing, PJ for the education withdrawal application from my EPF Account 2.

Surat Pengesahan Pendaftaran Pelajar

How to apply for Education Withdrawal from your EPF Account 2?

At first, of course; you need to have balance in your EPF Account 2 and does not reach 55 years old when applying for the withdrawal.

The following step(s) are meant for applicant who study in IPTS, since my institution UTAR is an IPTS; and first time withdrawal from same institution and programme.

There are some other requirements you need to check and verify from EPF website before you apply.

Step 1
Obtain the offer letter from your institution and make a photocopy. Bring along the original copy when you submit to EPF office for verification. Also, you need to obtain the student bill from your institution too.

Step 2
Request Surat Pengesahan Pendaftaran Pelajar and MQA certificate (certified true copy) from your institution, follow exactly the sample format provided by EPF office. The original copy of Surat Pengesahan Pendaftaran Pelajar must be submitted to EPF office.

Step 3
Download the form KWSP 9H (AHL) for free or collect them personally from any EPF office.
The form contain a lot of pages, but you only need to fill up two (2) pages. And, suprisingly they are quite straight forward.

You may choose to withdraw the fees for the whole year or per semester. Thats why you need your student bill from Step 1. And, the information/amount must be stated inside the Surat Pengesahan Pendaftaran Pelajar. Leave the cap jari field blank at this moment.

Step 4
Bring along every document(s) in original copy and photocopy, and of course your identity card (MyKad) when you go to EPF office. The EPF officer will check your document(s) and advise if incomplete. If everything OK, you may now print your fingerprints at the counter.

The is another form called Borang Temuduga you need to fill up. It will be given by the EPF officer at the counter. No worry.

After completed everything, the EPF officer issued a receipt to me. And, I can call up the number given after ten (10) working days to enquire the withdrawal status. Done!

For my case, the EPF office will issue the cheque/payment directly to UTAR.
