Prologue: FACON Education Fair March 2013

Visited the FACON Education Fair March 2013 today.

There were a lot of participants/booths, consists from local university to foreign university college; exhibit and promote mostly undergraduate programmes.

Since I reached there (Kuala Lumpur Convention Center) quite early; 12.00pm (the time the fair open), there were not much visitors at that time.

Collected some information/brochures for the postgraduate programme: Master in Business Administration from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Management and Science University (MSU) , INTI International University & Colleges, Taylor's University, etc.

Met Ms. Samantha Yuen Pei Chuin (yuenpc@utar.edu.my) from Institute of Postgraduate Studies & Research of Univesiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).
Got to know from her the government grunt entitled for postgraduates (Master and PhD) called MyBrain15.

In conclusion, chosen Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) as my institution for the next three years to pursue my postgraduate title Master of Business Administration (MBA), due the following reason(s):

1. Location - UTAR is located in PJ Section 13, the building where the programme/class will be conducted. It is like 10 minutes drive from my workplace under normal traffic-jam condition. It is rather an important factor since the class will be conducted after work (weekday evening).
2. Price - no need to emphasize. Among the cheapest fee in postgraduate programmes.
3. Financial assistance - this is not much an issue, since I planned to withdraw from my EPF Account 2. But, aware that the existance of MyBrain15, it really expedite my decision making process to enroll into this programme.

I planned to enroll for the October 2013 intake, initially...

There are three (3) intakes for most UTAR postgraduate programmes: January, May and October each year. January sem and May sem are consider long semester (14 weeks + 3 weeks exam + 2/3 weeks break) whereby October sem is short semester (7 weeks + 3 weeks exam + 2/3 weeks break).

Well, I can submit the application form now, and I have ample of time to apply for MyBrain15 and/or EPF withdrawal, initially I thought...
